Rooted Family Retreat Info:
From Friday July 30th to Sunday August 1st we will be having a Rooted Church Retreat hosted at The Ark Retreat Center. We encourage you to arrive Friday evening and we will dismiss everyone on Sunday after the Gathering.
Location
The Ark Retreat Center is located in beautiful Eagle Rock Missouri. Situated in the heart of the beautiful Ozarks, The Ark Christian Retreat Center provides an ideal place for churches and Christian groups to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by the nearby Mark Twain National Forrest, The Ark is located on the Roaring River arm of Table Rock Lake. Beautiful walking trails meander through majestic oak, walnut and cedar trees, leading from bluffs overlooking the lake all the way down to water’s edge.
The Ark is located roughly 1hr 30 min from Joplin.

Schedule for the Weekend
A more detailed schedule with some group activities will be posted closer to the retreat date. However a rough outline of what is planned, is as follows .
Friday
Arrive anytime after 5pm
Get situated in your dorms, bring dinner for your family.
Campfire Friday evening (s'mores provided)
Saturday
This will be a day combined with leisure and recreational actives on the grounds as well as some intentional devotion time. In addition, there will be plenty of free time if anyone want to venture off to the local sites.
Sunday
We will have a worship gathering at the beautiful glass chapel on Sunday morning. This will be a Family Sunday and we will all head home after the Gathering.

Things to do nearby and on site
The Ark hosts some fun biking trails and lake access (as seen in the pics above) in addition to a game room, tv room and a full size gymnasium.
Eagle Rock is a lake community with many other access points to Table Rock Lake. In addition, Roaring River State Park is only 15 minutes from the ARK. Roaring River has some great fishing, a fish hatchery, miles of hiking trails as well as the Roaring River Water Slides.

Accommodations
The accommodations are very simple dorm style rooms. Each guest room contains 2 double beds and 1 single bed along with private bathrooms. In addition folks are able to tent camp or there are a few places to hookup an RV or camper.
Cost
The cost below is intended to offset the cost of the four meals that will be provided (3 on Sat, Breakfast on Sun).
