The Story of Rooted Church

In late summer 2014 a small group of families began gathering together to pray and dream about planting a church in Northwest Arkansas.  After a year of praying, planning, and meeting together, that small group of families began gathering weekly for worship.  In late 2015, Rooted Church started gathering informally on Sunday evenings in the Johnson Baptist Fellowship building.  After a season of sharing a space, Johnson Fellowship decided to join with Rooted Church and in turn, graciously gave their building to this new gospel work.  On January 3rd, 2016 Rooted Church was officially founded.  A short time later, on August 13th, 2017, we commissioned and sent one of our Missional Communities out to plant Rooted Church (SWMO) in Joplin, Mo.  Since those early days, our story continues to unfold as we seek to reach NWA, Joplin, and see more churches planted across our region and the world.
